Here is why Christ Embassy is trending on twitter


Christ Embassy which is also known as Believers' Loveworld is a megachurch founded in Lagos Nigeria by Chris Oyakhilome in 1987. The church has a global network of churches with approximately 13,000,000 followers worldwide.  With about 145 branches, the church has ministries in Canada, Nigeria, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.

The church has been involved with a lot of controversies like the viral video where Pastor Chris Oyakhilome suggested that there is a link between the 5G network, Coronavirus, and anti-Christ.

Today they are currently trending on Twitter because of N171 Billion fraud by one of its prominent member Maxwell Odum, According to Adetutu Balogun, a renowned journalist Mr have scammed over 70,000 investors using MBA Trading and Capital investment. The investment company which promised 15% ROI for deposit starting from N350,000 fail to keep up with the contract and Mr Maxwell is nowhere to be found.

Twitter users have shared their opinion of the allegations "most Ponzi start-up as genuine businesses, its when harsh economy eats up owner capital, investors investment, the business manager decides to pack up and investors can no longer get their money it becomes a Ponzi. Create a favourable business environment and watch the business grow" wrote Ihedoro

"This is a very false report. This company's account was frozen by cabals in the Nigerian banking sector using EFCC. It was a simple politician, his company was a trading company that was paying investors more than the bank. This made a lot of people stop leaving their money in banks. So this affected banks so much and the best thing to do was to shut down the competitor. Total investment at the time of freezing their accounts was less than 180 Billion but this company had over 250 billion in its trading accounts. Don't blame this man. Blame bad policymakers" according to another Twitter user

According to an unconfirmed report, Davido allegedly stole the hit song "Jowo" from victor AD, fans have taken to their Twitter account to share their opinion. A quick check showed that the news started from a Twitter user with the account name " @thuglife ". Here is where it gets interesting, the Twitter account @thuglife is a staunch fan of singer Wizkid. Wizkid is a musical rival to Davido, well according to their fans. Both fans don't like each other and currently, no credible news source has talked about the allegation. Thuglife, is citing HipTv as the source of such news, still, a quick check at HipTv Twitter handle shows there is no such tweet.
